What is a Silent Auction?

A silent auction is an auction without an auctioneer with many items auctioned simultaneously. Bids are placed on sheets of paper or on touch screen tablets or smartphones instead. At the predetermined end of the auction, the highest listed bidder wins the item.

Silent Auctions can help to maximise revenue at your fundraising event but can be fairly labour-intensive so using a company like Auction Lots to run your auction is the perfect answer.

Auction Lots operate both nationally and internationally so wherever your event is being held we can handle it. We’ll deliver the items to the venue, collect the cash, issue receipts and, if necessary, arrange delivery to the successful bidder’s address.

After the silent auction we provide a list of all the winning bids, the prices paid and the amount due to you. Everything is transparent and totally risk free.

Because we agree the cost of the lots at outset, you know exactly how much of the bid price will go to your cause. We make no charge for unsold lots, so you can’t lose. We’ll even discuss adding items which you already have. Let us take away the added stress of running the auction to allow you to concentrate on your event. If you prefer to run the auction yourself or you need just a few items for a golf day then we can supply sports and music memorabilia of your choice on a sale or return basis – no risk again.
